Father Pulianmackal was born on 20 May 1970 in Idukki-Kerala-India; made his 1st profession on 20 March 1988 in Shillong; his final profession on 24 May 1996 also in Shillong, and was ordained priest on 30 July 2000 in Moolamattam. He was the Dean of the Salesian Theological Studentate 'Ratisbonne' in Jerusalem from 2011-2017. He was at the GC28 as the Delegate of Guwahati [ING].

Pascual Chavez Award for Innovative Ministry is instituted to highlight a ministry, which is an effective expression of the Salesian charism in our times.

The Innovative Ministry will be assessed on its features of unique intervention, methodology, and specific target group, strategy, for being a model and for its extensive impact on lives of the beneficiaries. Its purpose is to recognize a ministry of the Salesian Family and make it known for its novelty and propagate it more widely. The jury appointed by SPCSA will rate the innovation of the ministry and award with a citation and token of appreciation at the annual SPCSA Assembly.

The application to propose an innovative ministry of the members of the Salesian Family in the Region of South Asia is attached. Any relevant and salient information, which emphasizes the Innovative Ministry could be sent to the address below before October 24, 2014 or emailed to <>.
