Father Gildasio Mendes Inaugurates Salesian School of Social Communication By Shajan Valavil SDB-INK
Bangalore, Sep. 24. The General Councillor for Social Communication, Father Gildasio Mendes, inaugurated and declared open online the Salesian School of Social Communication (SSSC) on September 24, 2021. Introducing the vision and objectives of the year-long programme, Father Mendes highlighted September 24 as a historically significant day for the Salesian order. He said: ``We are commencing an important journey keeping in mind the evangelisation mission of the Church to be achieved effectively through communication.`` As emphasised by different general chapters of Salesian Congregation, he said, Communication is a priority dimension for Salesians.
