LAND OF THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, MIZORAM WELCOMES DB AT MIDNIGHT

Guwahati, Jun. 12. Mizoram, June 12: The urn left Mawkyndeng at 5 am sharp in the morning of Saturday to make way for a long journey to the farthest, southern most corner of Salesian centre at Seling in Mizoram. Amidst tight security by the Meghalaya police up to the border between Jaintia Hills in Meghalaya and Cachar in Assam, the relics of Don Bosco reached Silchar Don Bosco School at 11am. With few minutes of rest the urn left for Seling.  At Vairengte, the gateway to Mizoram Don Bosco had a short stay to see his daughters, the fma sisters, boys, girls and the local citizens of the state at 1.30 pm. The urn then stops at Kolasib Township at St. Joseph the Worker Church at 3. 50 pm.  Big number of pilgrims had gathered here to witness the life sized relic of Don Bosco. Read full text
