Don Bosco IMAGE shines at Catholic Festival in Poland

Bangalore, Apr. 15. Don Bosco IMAGE is once again being recognized at the oldest annual International Catholic Film and Multimedia Festival in Poland. The films got the recognition out of 160 movies, from 23 countries among the Short-Film category. The films selected from Don Bosco IMAGE are Beyond (Short Film 15 min,) and Feliz Navidad (Short Film 27 min,). This 29th International Catholic Film and Multimedia Festival will be held at Niepokalanow from 23 to 25 May 2014.

These two films had won several awards at various film festivals already. Beyond won Best Script and Best Cinematography Award at Exodus-Saga of Campus Film Festival Thrissur and Best Film, Best Script & Direction and Best Actor award at Goodness Media Awards 2013. Feliz Navidad won Best Director, Best Cinematographer, and Best Actress award at Goodness Media Awards 2013. Both films were conceived and directed by Fr. Jiji Kalavanal SDB who had already directed several award winning short films earlier.

Beyond tells the story of a kind stranger at the death bed of a man in a hospital. Feliz Navidad explores the beauty of Christmas through the simplicity of a poor broken family.
