Bangalore, Aug. 31. Aluva: Fr. Paul Puthanangady who is suffering from cancer, had been taken to Aluva house, for further treatment and care. On Friday, 30th August, Fr. Paul Puthanangady, had a fall and consequently broke his hip-bone.
Fr. Paul was then admitted in the Samaritan Hospital, Pazhanganad, where the doctors suggested that he be operated upon and a steel rod inserted to hold his bone in place.

However the doctors also indicated that given Fr. Paul's present condition it could be risky to administer full anesthesia. They are now discerning the best way of dealing with the situation.

Meanwhile, he has been shifted to Lissie Hospital, Ernakulam to facilitate the treatment in an adequate manner.

The doctors will be able to decide about the surgery only on Sunday, 1 September.
