Pyndengrei Parish Hosts Meeting of Practical Trainees of Silchar

Shillong, Aug. 28. The practical training brothers' meeting of Silchar Province was held in Nongstoin at Pyndengrei Parish on the 24th and 25th August 2013. Twelve brothers, including Cl. Kenny Nongrum, doing practical training in Italy, participated in the meeting. Fr Paul Lyngkot, the Vice Provincial,  animated the meeting. The thrust of the meeting was on growing formation in one's vocation.
Interaction with the parish community, by way of Mass with the parents and sharing during meals, was an enriching experience for the young Salesians. Fr Peter Syiemlieh, the Parish priest, assured the brothers of remembrance during the prayers in the parish.

Part of the meeting was also a visit to the nearby Salesian parish of Rambrai, where the group was warmly received by the Salesians, boys and FMA sisters.

The young salesians entertained the boys and girls of the parish with their unique talents.

On the last day of the programme a ''Jingiaseng'' or prayer meeting was held, concluding with a delicious meal, at the house of Cl. Kenny.
An interaction with the boarding boys and girls of Pyndengrei parish was also in the agenda, whcih mutually enriched brothers and the youngsters.

The brothers returned to their respective houses after energizing themselves and with a resolve to do better in their Salesian apostolate.
