Kolkata, Sep. 24. .   Hyderabad:  The Administrators of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad held their annual meeting on 21 and  22, September, 2014 in Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad.  The scope of the meeting was to digitalize and centralize the administration.   Fr Sojan, the Economer of the Province, welcomed the administrators and the accountants of the province and introduced the upgraded accounting package (ACME-ERP). He appreciated all the efforts put in for the smooth functioning of the houses by all the Administrators. The presence and active participation of a few lay accountants added variety and colour to the meeting.
During the inaugural talk Rev. Fr. Balaraju, the Provincial, extended a warm welcome to all the participants and exhorted everyone to be transparent and accountable in matters concerning finance and administration.

The central point of the meeting was the introduction to the newly updated accounting software, AcME ERP, which is an updated version of the existing AcME+. The two resource persons, Mr. Alexander and Mr. Ramesh from BICS, Yellagiri,  initiated and guided all the participants in updating themselves with the revised version of the software.

The participants appreciated the new software and received hands on training in the use of the software. They have resolved to start using it from the present financial year (April 2014 onwards) itself. The participants were given knowledge also on WALLMART and its functioning by the HR Department of the company.

Fr. P. Arul Das, DB Tech In-charge of the Province, took the chance to present the status of the DB Tech to the participants and invited all the Communities to explore the possibilities of opening the DB Tech centers in serving the poor and needy youth.

Earlier in the first session, Fr Vijay Bhaskar, Vice-Provincial, enlightened the participants on the 'Don Bosco Child Protection Policy' as a relevant and must-be-known factor for every Salesian and those working in the Salesian Institutions.
