Panjim, Jun. 27. A Standardization training for the members of Youth at Risk (YaR) in the Province of Panjim was held on 24th June, 2013 at Don Bosco, Odxel, Goa, as the Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia has made it mandatory for all YaR centres in India to standardize their activities.  Fr. Arul Maran of Tiruchi Province  was the facilitator of the training programme at which he explained what is meant by standardization of the YaR activities and why it was essential.
The two day sessions were interspersed with serious reflective group activities that answered relevant questions for the present and the future. The sharing was done on what each centre would be doing with regard to YaR activities and services. Fr Arul stressed the need to make use of the Home Link programme which is an excellent tool for documenting the details of the youth and children. It also has the facility to connect all YaR centres in India through Missing Child Search Net (MCSN).

Fr. Arvind Severes and Fr Kimrold D'Mello were present at the training progrmame: the former is the out-going coordinator of YaR activities and services at INP, while the latter takes charge as the newly appointed coordinator of the YaR commission for the Konkan Province.
