INT- PRE-CAPITULAR MEET BEGINS - 52 CHAPTER MEMBERS KICK START PC2013

Tiruchy, Jan. 5. The 52 members of the provincial chapter gathered at Don Bosco Provincial House, Tiruchy to prepare launch the 5th provincial chapter of INT province on 5-01-2012. The meet commenced at 9.30 a.m with a devout opening prayer that put the members in the swing of the theme of PC13 ''Witnesses to Radical Approach of the Gopspel''

The 52 members of the provincial chapter gathered at Don Bosco Provincial House, Tiruchy to prepare launch the 5th provincial chapter of INT province on 5-01-2012. The meet commenced at 9.30 a.m with a devout opening prayer that put the members in the swing of the theme of PC13 ''Witnesses to Radical Approach of the Gopspel''
Fr. Albert Johnson the provincial welcomed the members to the meet and provoked an attentive participation and serious reflection. He introduced the animator of the day Fr. James Theophilus SDB, who animated the members on four major themes namely: i) the purpose, roles and functions of General Chapters basing on the letter of the Rector Major; ii) Introduction to the General Chapter 27; iii) Gospel Response to the call of God; and iv) the response of the salesians to the call of God.
The 9 documents including the theme of GC27- ''witness to the radical approach of the Gospel'', veryfication of PC10, the provincial plan for youth ministry, challenges in parish ministry, and five other policies that are to be taken up for discussions during the PC13 were presented by Fr. Doss Kennedy the moderator of the chapter and the preparatory committee members of the chapter. The floor accepted them as working documents of PC13. Then the moderator communicated certain conspicuous logistics of the chapter. Fr. Provincial concluded the meet with his words of appreciation to the moderator and his team and propelled the team of chapter members to be charged with enthusiasm to venture in to the proceedings of the chapter.
