The Young trained to be agents of Social Transformation

Tiruchy, Aug. 11. ILAMAI - Department of Youth Services of the province of Tiruchy (INT), organized a leadership training programme combined with the General Body Meeting on 06, and 07 August 2016 at Don Bosco Youth Village, Melapuduvayal, Keeranur. fifty seven youth leaders gathered for the training programme.
On day one Father Mani Lazar SDB, Director of Youth Services - INM Province animated the youth leaders on the importance and urgency of a true leader.  

On day two Mr. Devaneyan, Human Rights Activist enlightened the young leaders on Right to Information Act and the procedures to approach Government offices and the officials for any social interventions. He even provoked them to become agents of social transformation through becoming aware of everyday happenings around them.

Besides the leadership training programme, the General Body Meeting was organized in which the year plan for 2016-17 was planned. Over the years of formation of youth groups, the Province has achieved the growth of educating the young to plan and execute activities by themselves.

The participants were taken for a visit to the Eco-farm by Father Bernatsha SDB, the director of the Youth village. The whole programme was coordinated by Father Barnabass SDB the Province youth director.
