Tiruchy, Jun. 3. To help the students of theology in their formation process a day-long seminar was organized on psycho-sexual maturity,at Don Bosco Provincial House, Tiruchy.
Tiruchy, June 02:Twenty six students of Theology after a hectic summer ministry arrived at Don Bosco Provincial House, Tiruchy, on 2 June 2011 to relax and to reflect on their experiences for a couple of days. To make the optimum use of this meeting Fr. Doss Kennedy SDB, Vice Provincial, arranged a day-long seminar on 2 June 2011. The topic for the seminar was rather bold and relevant: Psycho-Sexual Maturity.

Eyebrows that raised regarding the choice of the topic were settled right at the beginning by Fr. Doss Kennedy SDB. Introducing the topic he said, ''It has become a necessity for us to revisit several areas of our formation to priesthood in the wake of myriads of problems regarding priesthood and priests. We are organizing this seminar on psycho-sexual maturity so that you are enlightened and that you avoid the pitfalls entailed in our growth process.''
Fr. Devadass CMF, who has vast experience in this field, helped the participants to reflect on their psycho-sexual maturity with several concrete examples. In his own inimitable style he convinced the students of Theology to get out of the puritan outlook and look at psycho-sexual aspect as an integral part of a human being. He dealt at length about the various aspects of a human being and helped them to understand how our stunted growth with regard to sexuality can influence our ministry often negatively.

The seminar which commenced at 9:30 am went till 7:00 pm. Lively sessions and relevant interactions kept the brothers glued to the speaker till the end. Later in the evening the brothers organized a family circle that tickled one to the bone.
