New Delhi, Dec. 31. The Spiritual Retreat animated by Father George Stephen S.J. at Don Bosco Provincial House, Okhla certainly made the 49 participants a bit more awakened. The talks were illuminating, expository and interpretative.
From day one onwards the preacher ardently asked the retreatants to embark on the boat of WHY, travel in the river GO, reach the destination called MISSION and make a home there named as OTHER CENTRED and subsequently bear FRUIT in abundance. Encouraging life experiences juxtaposed with ideas, examples from books and providential encounters with people presented by the Preacher, were very intriguing, thought provoking and thought providing.

Father George helped the retreatants to ruminate upon discernable differences between Consequent Receivers and Choice Makers, Ladder model spirituality and Circle model spirituality, Monkey spirituality and Cat spirituality, understanding and judgement.

The capital that has been profited through the retreat has been manifold. It would not be wrong to say that the nub of the retreat was ''Kill the I and live for others; just as the grain of wheat does and just as our Lord and master Jesus did.

The preacher was compendious and terse in presentation and epigrammatic in speech. The retreatants were awakened to the fact that 'To become a follower of Jesus, all that is needed is a personal experience of Jesus like Bartimaeus'.
