Mumbai, Aug. 15. In view of the International Day of Youth, on 12 August 2020, from 6pm-9pm, the Salesian Provinces of Chennai [INM] and Tiruchy [INT] organized an online listening forum, to listen to 23 young people from different walks of life in the State of Tamil Nadu. The young people voiced out in 06 minutes each, their varied experiences, during the pandemic months, of actively demonstrating love for God, love for neighbour and love for nature
Originally the idea germinated from the clarion call of Pope Francis, who referred to teh young people as the 'Now of God'. Young people  from all walks of life, catholic and non-Catholic spoke of the inspiration that they derive from Jesus Christ and the educative system of Don Bosco. The personal experience of 'faith, hope and love' during the COVID-19 was expressed as their inner thirst with the thrust to make a better world for themselves and for others.
The voice that were listened to were:
   • voices of rural youth,
   • voices of urban youth,
   • voices of youth with crisis in faith,
   • voices as psychological service providers,
   • voices of coastal youth,
   • voices of charity,
   • voices of eco-friendly youth,
   • voices of differently abled youth,
   • voices of transgenders (LGBT),
   • voices of weak and oppressed,
   • voices of social consciousness seeking youth,
   • voices of youth entangled in family crisis,
   • voices of truth and justice seekers
   • voices of downtrodden and suppressed
   • voices of food for all
   • voices of change seekers
   • voices of social change
   • voices of migrant youth
   • voices of humane respect and dignity;

It was an enriching experience for both Salesians and all the young participants. It was also a special moment members of the Salesian family to actively listen to the young positive voices, full of hope to establish a just and peaceful society.
