Kolkata, May. 5. If ''Come and See'' is the flavour of the year, the last of the season's vocation camps within the province lived out the spirit of the Strenna in style.  Forty-one young men from 6 dioceses in 2 states experienced Salesian joy for 5 days in Nazareth Bhavan, Siliguri, from 26 to 30 April.
Under the dynamic leadership of Br. Roshan Kullu, the Camp Chief, who was ably assisted by a dedicated 4-man team of Bros Stephen Biswakarma, Robert Rai, Clement Lakra & John Paul Tirkey, the campers experienced the full range of Salesian life-style: work and prayer, learning and leisure, competitive and collaborative activities, crazy games and crazier action songs, programs that helped them to discover themselves and their faith, in our  trademark breathless rhythm, all within a family atmosphere of spontaneity, shared responsibility, felt love and easy joy.

The camp was also a team effort of the Salesians on the Campus: Frs. Berger, Alakulam, Mathew George, Eugine & Jude, Bros. Pritam & Subash addressed the boys at various times on various topics.

Fr. John Berger (Novice Master) together with his colleagues and Novices were the perfect hosts whose generosity and ready smiles never betrayed the fact that we had intruded into their privacy and daily rhythm. They even spent a half day in formative interaction (an hour of work with the campers, a cricket match,  Eucharistic Adoration and dinner) which turned out to be the most memorable experience of the camp for the participants who connected with the Novices who were themselves similar campers not too long ago! The experience left a deep impression on the Novices too.

From among these eager young campers, 13 young men have been chosen for the next level of the selection progress to be held at DBV Kalyani, 2 May-2 June.
