Shillong, Jul. 30. Siloam: The young priests of the Salesian Provinces of Guwahati and Silchar came together at Siloam, Megahlaya for their annual animation program, 22-25 July 2012. The program, attended by 24 enthusiastic young priests, was jointly animated by the vice provincials of the two provinces - Frs.  Paul Olphindro Lyngkot and Thomas Lakra.
Fr. George Maliekal the Provincial of Silchar, helped the participants to reflect on their ministry. With his two sessions, ''Who are you, when no one is looking at you?''  and ''Clericalism'' the Provincial helped the youngsters reflect on their life as ordained ministers and religious persons among God's people, especially youth. The sessions were much appreciated by the young priests, some of who said they helped rejuvenate their flagging enthusiasm. 'Retrospect, repair and re-launch' were oft-heard watchwords at the three-day program.

The priests also spent some valuable time sharing with the group their experiences of the various ministries they are currently engaged in. It was an exercise that ''enriched us in various ways and did some major repairs to some of our emotional life' says Fr. Remol Marak who is currently serving at St.Xavier's School, Pathaliaghat, Tripura.

Fr. Thomas Lakra explained to the group the theme of General Chapter 27, preparations for which have already begun in both the provinces. Before returning to their respective stations, the priest participants of the three day program expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Fr. Paul Olphindro for organizing the program in such interesting and enriching manner.
