Panjim, Jun. 28. All Commissions of the Province of Panjim met at Odxel, Goa, on 26 June 2013, to review and plan various activities and services imparted for the youth of the province for the coming year.
All Commissions of the Province of Panjim met at Odxel, Goa, on 26 June 2013, to review and plan various activities and services imparted for the youth of the province.

Fr. Paul D'Souza, Vice Provincial and delegate for youth pastoral, in his address highlighted the relevant ideas from the symposium on Youth Ministry he attended at Guwahati.

The sharing that followed threw light on the major difficulties arising due to interdependence of sectors, and which needs to be urgently resolved. It was also noted that the commissions need to follow up the youth in their care as a process of accompanying them rather than feeling satisfied only by conducting activities successfully.

Commission heads read their reports of the activities and projected their plans for this academic year for making the youth ministry effective.

Fr. Ian Figueiredo, Provincial, Province of Panjim, thanked the commission members for this added responsibility and encouraged everyone to contribute for the betterment of our youth.  'Salesians work for youth, in a special way for the poor and the abandoned'.
