MEDICAL CAMP AT HOSPETTE VILLAGE

Panjim, Jul. 23. A medical camp was conducted for the children, youth and women of Hospette village on 22nd July 2012.

A medical camp was conducted for the children, youth and women of Hospette village. This camp was held on 22nd July 2012. This venture was in done in collaboration with the Government Primary Health Center, Marvanthe and the Senha Sanga from Hospette.

Mr. Dinesha, the Social worker for the Konkan development Society, Karnataka region welcomed the following members Doctor Girish, Mr. Gopal Karve (President of the Senhasangha), Mr. Jaganatha Karve (President of the committee), and Fr. Leo Pereira, the Administrator and Incharge of the Social development work for the Karnataka region. And Brother Vicky who helps in the daily tuition classes.

Doctor Girish in his inaugural speech thanked the Don Bosco Fathers for the tireless and dedicated work done in this sector of looking into the free education to the children and the skill training of youth in the locality. He later addressed the gathering on the precautions that one needs to take to keep them self fit, healthy and strong especially during this season as many are porn to all types of sicknesses and ailments. On elaborating the topic he said, ''All sickness is human made'' and therefore, ''we need to keep our surrounding clean and tidy'', he further added that, ''it is it not merely the work of the municipality but everyone's contribution to keep the surroundings clean and healthy''.

Later, the children, youth and the women came for a general check up and free medicines were distributed. Many from the adults got there blood sugar checked.

The President of the committee Mr. Mr. Jaganatha Karve and the President of Senha sangha thanked the Konkan Development society of Don Bosco Trasi for the care and concern shown during the last few years.
