Skill Development Courses Unveiled at Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Aug. 17. Don Bosco Human Resource Development Centre (DBHRDC), Gagillapur, inaugurated its Skill Development Courses on August 16, 2021. The centre offers three different courses like Hospitality, Tailoring and Beautician course. In keeping with the skill development initiatives in the country, DBHRDC is running training programmes for the poor and marginalized youth for their sustainable livelihood through suitable employment and micro-enterprises.
Father Thomas Santiago, Vice Provincial of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad, Father Noel Maddhichetty, Director of BoscoNet, Father Bellamkonda Sudhakar, Executive Director of Bosco Seva Kendra (BSK), Father Sarath, Assistant Director, BSK, Mr Shankar from SOS Village, the Staff of BSK and DBHRDC and the trainees were present.

Father Sudhakar welcoming the dignitaries, faculty members and students, stressed the importance of the skill-training programme to improve the livelihood and status of the underprivileged youth and their communities. He appreciated the collaborative partnership with Hitachi, Niehof, SOS village Children, BoscoNet, and JEW.

Meanwhile, Father Santiago recalled the work of Don Bosco and the hardships he underwent in his lifetime. He motivated the trainees to utilize the opportunities and facilities to their maximum advantage, culminating in fruitful employment. Father Noel Maddhichetty reminded us that the Covid-19 pandemic is not a hurdle to discover the inner talents but paves the way to new opportunities that the world offers today. Mr Shankar, the coordinator of SOS Village, thanked BSK and DBHRDC for the extended collaboration with their organization.
