Don Bosco Past Pupils Facilitates Ambulance Service

Hyderabad, Jun. 13. Moved by the death of their collaborators affected by Covid, that too due to non-availability of transport facilities to reach hospitals with oxygen, the past pupils of Don Bosco School, Mangalagiri, drove their way to mobilize an ambulance service. The transport service is free of cost for the poor.
The Past Pupil Unit of Don Bosco School, Mangalagiri, has been active for the past couple of days, helping the staff who were affected by the pandemic. When two of their working staff demised due to covid and that too, non-availability of oxygen in time, they felt deeply sorry. This incident motivated them and led to providing transport services to the poor for free of cost.

Mr Ravi, the President of the past pupil's unit, other members and Don Bosco, Mangalagiri community, mobilized fund through friends and agencies to purchase an Omni Van and converted to an ambulance. The noble emergency service began on June 13, 2021. The chief guest Mr Kommuru Kanakarao, Chairman of SC Finance Corporation, Andhra Pradesh, Father Garlapati Michael Kishore, Province past pupil's delegate, Father Parokaran Jose, in charge of the Past Pupil Unit of Don Bosco School, Mangalagiri, and others were present for the inaugural ceremony.

Father Banda Suresh, the Rector of Don Bosco Premnivas, thanked the past pupils for their voluntary commitment to the good cause.
