The triple jubilee celebrations at Don Bosco Panjim, Goa kicked off with the grand welcome to the Tenth Successor of Don Bosco Reverend Father Angel Fernandez Artime with the Kunbi Shawl by past pupil Cedrick at Don Bosco Campus Panjim on September 6, 2022.

The inaugural event of the jubilee celebrations was the unveiling of the Azulejo (an ornamental art form of Portuguese and Spanish painted tin-glazed ceramic tilework), depicting the humble beginnings of the oratorio of Don Bosco in Panjim and the Salesian educational family spirit.  The azulejo was installed to mark the Seventy-Five years Jubilee celebrations.  Children released balloons to the chants of long live Don Bosco, long live Rector Major.

After a brief break the Salesians, guests, teachers and past pupils gathered in the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima for the solemn Eucharistic celebrations.  Addressing the congregation Rector Major Father Artime said, I am very happy to be here today on this day of great significance to you and the congregation.  The presence of the Salesians and the members of Salesian family here itself is a witness of your perseverance and commitment to the vision and mission of Don Bosco here in Goa.

The truth is this what comes from God, lives with us for a long period of time and whatever is a human product always falls soon and ends fast.  The jubilee of seventy five years is a witness of the dedication and sacrifice of the earlier Salesian missionaries and the Salesians who came later, touched the lives of thousands of youngsters who passed through this institutions over the years.  Quoting the words of Don Bosco, Father Artime concluded saying, have faith in Our Blessed Mother Mary and you will see what miracles are.

Rector Major Father Angel Fernandez also inaugurated the newly constructed football and futsal ground on campus by cutting the ribbon and scoring the first goal wearing a jersey presented to him with number 24 and the named Angel printed on the back.  Father Angel, later wished the teams gathered to participate in the flood lite tournament all the best.

Later at the felicitation held, past pupils Doctor Rufino Monteiro, Advocate Gauresh Agni and Kirit Maganlal raised the toast on the occasion of Seventy-five years jubilee celebrations.  Recalling their earlier school days at Don Bosco Panjim, they paid homage to the Salesian Fathers, Brothers and teachers who educated them to become successful and even influencers in the society today.

Students from the Salesian schools and colleges of Goa facilitated the gathering with a variety cultural programme.  Mementos to mark the occasion was also presented to Rector Major Father Angel Fernandez, to the Regional Father Biju Michael and Provincial of Panjim Province Father Felix Fernandes. The programme ended with a sumptuous agape meal and plenty of selfies with the Rector Major Father Angel Fernandes Artime.
