Tiruchy, Jul. 7. The annual Oratory leaders' meeting began with the theme, ''Together Let Us Succeed Joyfully'' . There were 22 participants from the various oratories taking an active part in the animation conducted at the Retreat, Yercaud. The meeting began at 11 a.m. with a meaningful video song. Fr. Jayaseelan SDB, the Director of the Oratories, welcomed the participants and exhorted them to stay together and work together as a team to achieve success.

Bro. Amirtharaj SDB, animated the participants on the topic ''The Qualities Needed for a Good Leader''. He kept the group alive and active through group activities and video clippings. He stressed on the need to develop leadership skills in the society. He illustrated his ideas by giving some examples of great leaders. The participants were admittedly enriched by the thoughts he shared.

Bro. Thomas SDB, spoke on the pressing need for good leaders in our society. The annual plan for the oratories was presented by Bros. S. Anantharaj, the Presidents of the Oratories, Loyola, the treasurer, and Jayaraj, the Secretary. They also proposed that the youngsters could take time to visit ''Nilavarpatti'', a home for HIV affected children. The response of the participants was overwhelming.

The youth asked for some sessions on political issues and thus to prepare the young for an active participation in the local governance. Fr. Amalraj Susai SDB, the Rector of the Retreat, addressed the youth at the end and exhorted them to be more committed and contribute towards the well-being of everyone, especially the youth of their place. The youth were very appreciative of the service being done by the Retreat.
