New Delhi, Feb. 7. Saturday, 30th January, 2021 was a day of blessing in the history of Don Bosco School, Alaknanda - New Delhi as it marked the celebrations of the inauguration of the Ruby Jubilee Year of the foundation of the school. The distinguished guests Fr. Davis Maniparamban, Fr. Babu Varghese, Fr. Augustine Toppo, Fr. David Rayappan, Fr. Kuriakose, Mrs. Rashma Kumar and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar were given a grand welcome by the august gathering of teachers, parents and students.
The ceremony of kindling of the Indian lamp in prayerful ambience aroused the warmth of the divine. The moments of prayer enriched with reading from the Scripture, intercessions and the hymn to Don Bosco created a mood of devotion in the gathering. It was followed by floral tribute to St. John Bosco and the message delivered by Fr Davis Maniparamban. The reminiscence of the stalwarts of the school for the past four decades was very unique to his message. The Ruby Jubilee year was inaugurated in this grand ceremony along with the unveiling of the Ruby Jubilee logo, designed by Fr David Rayappan. The Ruby Jubilee prayer and an Audiovisual presentation on the history of the school brought back memories from the past 40 years.  The students who excelled in Don Bosco Ruby Jubilee Quiz were awarded on this auspicious occasion. The dignitaries planted a tree of hope and memory in the school campus. The sumptuous lunch that was served, united all who came together to mark their presence on this great day of celebration. Viva Don Bosco!
