07 Salesians Ordained Deacons at the Church of All Nations, Gethsamene

New Delhi, Jun. 15. On Sunday 14 June, during Holy Mass at the Church of All Nations, Gethsemane, Jerusalem, Most Rev. Pierbattista Pizzaballa OFM, the Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, ordained 07 Salesians of Don Bosco as Deacons, comprising 03 from USA, 02 from India, 01 from Poland and 01 from Angola.

the 07 Salesians completed their theological studies at Salesian Pontifical University, Faculty of Theology, Ratisbonne, Jerusalem. 02 Indian Salesians, Amit Xess from INK and Alfred from INT were also prdained Deacons with their companions.

The Salesian communities of Jersusalem, Nazareth and Cremisan were present at the solemn high mass, although attendance was restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Facebook live streaming made available by Cancao Nova, Chrsitian Media Centre, Jerusalem, enabled relatives, friends and Salesians from different parts of the world, to witness the ceremony. The 07 Deacons were ecstatic and expressed their sincere gratitude to all the well-wishers and to their respective Provinces.
