Father Angel Fernandez Artime embarked on his journey of knowledge and animation in the various Salesian houses and arrived here at Don Bosco Panjim on March 29, 2019 dedicated to building relationships and mutual respect in a friendly and fraternal atmosphere. It was a joyous occasion meeting the Management, Staff and Students.
The Rector Major while at Don Bosco Panjim spoke with gentle serenity exuding wisdom and integrity of life. He stressed to make the most of the schooling days at Don Bosco and then go on to contribute to the nation and humanity. Be models of Sanctity and imbibe good values and build yourself strong with the grace of God. For the teachers he expressed his gratitude for leaving something beautiful in the hearts of the students everyday.
He concluded saying that the Salesians, the staff and all those working along with the Salesians together can live the big dream of Don Bosco. The presence and fervor of Rector Major at Don Bosco, Panjim was of immense witness value.
The aura of positivity that surrounded Rector Major was overwhelming as he addressed the gathering. His solemn presence brought visibility, life, pastoral energy to Don Bosco Panjim in renewing and reinvigorating our lives. Founder St. John Bosco always wanted the congregation to be rooted in spirituality which was powerfully evident as the Panjim province radiated Don Bosco charisma and Salesian hospitality and simplicity, in a unique way during this blessed visitation.
The impressions the Rector Major gave with his words, distinguished presence, suave style, his intellect and refined grace will be etched forever in everyone's hearts. This Visitation was a moment of beneficence and a time of strengthening mutual bond between the community, young and old alike with the Rector Major. Metaphorically speaking we all had an opportunity to drink from the esteemed fountain that springs forth goodness and grace.
'For us, it was not only the excitement of seeing beloved Rector Major but it was also a validation of our faith and a clear message of solidarity which touched our hearts,' said one teacher. What found especially heartening was the fact that the visit was expansive and significant in scope. It was about finding the common ground and respect necessary to build a human family. The inner awareness of simple abundance.
