Grand Silver Jubilee Finale of Don Bosco Narukot

Mumbai, Dec. 15. Don Bosco Narukot completed its twenty five years of Graces marking its Silver Jubilee Day on 8 December, the feast of the Immaculate Conception. The climax of the programme was the Solemn Eucharist celebration in the aftrnoon and a Cultural show in the evening.
Early Morning on  December 08, 2012 when the sun rose, flowers began to bloom, birds began to sing, trees began to dance, and Don Bosco Narukot completed its sweet twenty five years of Grace marking it Silver Jubilee Day. It was also the day for celebrating the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception.

The main celebrant for the Holy Eucharist at 3.00 P.M. was Rev. Bishop Godfrey Rozario (Bishop of Baroda), accompanied by the Provincial Fr. Michael Fernandes (Mumbai Province), Fr. Pravin Makwana (Rector), Fr. Brian Boothello, Fr. Ashwin Macwan and the other concelebrants.

There were many other religious, brothers, nuns and large number of crowd from different villages participating at the Eucharistic celebration.The Children's choir was excellent and well trained by the choir masters Fr. Brian and Cl. Ajay. Five of the staff of Don Bosco Narukot who hae been with the institute for twenty five years were alos felicitated by Fr. Provincial.

For the cultural programme that followed the guest of honour was Mrs. Vina Mody, wife of late Piloo Mody. There was an emotional tribute given to the Late Piloo Mody who had donated the forty acres of land of Don Bosco Narukot by bringing his framed Photo with a March Past. Mrs. Vina Mody was visibly moved by this gesture of Narukot Don Bosco family.

One of the main items was a musical programme in Gujrati ''Don Bosco Sathe, Parivartan na Panthey'' (With Don Bosco, on the way of Transformation), staged by the school students, boarders, the technical boys and also some of the staff.  The history of Narukot and Don Bosco's dream was also screened by Fr. Ashwin as part of the Musical.

Bro. Damodar sdb who was completing twenty five years of Religious life  was also felicitated during the progrmme. Fr. Michel Fernandes, Provincial thanked all those who had toiled and worked hard to bring up this institution and made it grow, especially the pioneers of this place Fr. Nelson, Fr. Byron, Fr. Carlos, Fr. Stanny and Fr. Pravin.
