''Drops from the Streams'' Released

Kolkata, Mar. 12. ''Drops from the Streams'' , a collection of 100 Reflections on the Word of God, by Fr. Sebastian Champanil SDB was released at the Provincial House, Kolkata on 26 February, by Fr. Jose Pampadiyil, the Vice Provincial, at a simple ceremony witnessed by some Confreres and lay people.

''Drops from the Streams'' is an anthology of short and simple messages to help those who truly want to be renewed. These reflections are based on the Word of God. They originally appeared as messages written over a period of several years for ''STREAMS'', a bi-monthly charismatic magazine published from Kolkata.

''These reflections were meant to help people to deepen their commitment to the person of Jesus Christ, to understand and apply the Word of God in their daily lives and to have a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit'', says the author, a renowned preacher and renewal minister, who was the founder-director of Calcutta Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (CCCRS) for more than 16 years, besides having worked closely with Blessed Mother Teresa of Kolkata for several years, and directing the retreats of the Missionaries of Charity Sisters in the five continents.

Fr. C. J. Sebastian SDB, whose prayer books, ''Healing and Freedom,'' and ''Healer, Heal Me'' has helped hundreds of people to come closer to the Lord and be delivered from bondages, is making another valuable contribution to all those thirsting for spiritual renewal in ''Drops from the Streams.'' Currently he is the Spiritual Director to the Seminarians at Salesian College, Sonada- Darjeeling.
