Kolkata, Jul. 15. Rev. Fr. Thomas Ellicherail, SDB, the Provincial of Kolkata Salesian Province has announced and launched a year-long spiritual accompaniment for the entire Province through one hour Eucharistic Adoration, to be conducted on every Monday in all the communities and presences of the Province from 7.00 to 8.00 PM.
The campaign was launched on 15 July, 2013, and 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM of  this day became a very special moment in the history of the Province as the entire Province was united in prayer, with the Eucharistic Adoration in their respective communities.

Fr. Thomas stated that the Province of Kolkata is living through a very historic moment: In less than a month, between 12-15 August 2013, the Regional Councillor Rev. Fr. Maria Arokiam Kanaga, SDB will be in the Province for the important task of animation and consultation for the nomination of a Provincial Superior for the next 6 year period; and in the month of November, the Rector Major, Rev. Fr. Pascual Chavez, SDB, will be visiting the Province of Kolkata. ''These are days of great blessings to the Province. In preparation for such great events, as well as owing to the recent happenings in the province, we as a Province need to spend time praying for one another, praying for our entire Province'', he said.

Probably this is the first time such a prayer campaign is being realized in the Province for one whole year. Thus 7 to 8 PM will find the entire province united in Prayer from  Diamond Harbour in the South to Kathmandu (Nepal) in the North, and from Utrail (Bangladesh) in the East to Purnea in the West.
