Kolkata, Nov. 7. Kolkata: During the annual Meeting of Conference of Bishops of Bengal, Bengal Regional Conference of Religious, India, and Bengal Priests Council, Archbishop Thomas D'Souza of Calcutta Archdiocese released Pope Francis' Catechesis on the Holy Mass at Seva Kendra, the Archdiocesan Social Service Centre on 6 November.
This book gathers together the catechetical insights of Pope Francis on the Holy Mass. This Catechesis, in its turn, is a collection of the series of talks on the Holy Mass which Pope Francis gave the faithful during the Wednesday General Audiences between November 2017 - April 2018.

Pope Francis initiated this Catechesis with fifteen talks. He systematically explains the different elements of the Mass in a pastoral tone. The talks include his own personal experiences of the Mass. After each talk, Fr. Gilbert Choondal sdb (who added and edited to this work of Pope Francis) tried to provide additional points for reflection and open up avenues for further development in Catechesis on the topic. The three points for reflection at the end of each talk of Pope Francis include Retrospect to Introspect (Some points to look into our past and present based on the teachings of Pope Francis), Mass to Muse (the salient points of the Holy Mass for further musings) and Words to Deeds (to walk the talk of Pope Francis for living the mass in our daily lives).

At the end of this Catechesis, he has also provided five additional topics on the Mass that will serve to provide a panoramic view of the Mass from various other angles. Before the release, Fr. Gilbert introduced the book to the audience. The Book is available at Nitika Don Bosco, Kolkata, Pauline sisters, Kolkata, and Pauline Sisters, Bangalore.
