The meeting of national advisory council of the Salesian  co-operators of Indian region was held in New Delhi, Provincial house, 6th -7th  of November 2010, at 2.30 pm. Mr. K.V Francis welcomed all the advisory body members for the meeting.
After which he voiced his discomfort at the significant number of absentees and lack of communication between members with regard to attending the meeting at Kolkata as well as at Delhi. He said only regular participation of the members will enhance and strengthen different local groups. He said that it would be better to shun responsibility if one is not able to be faithful to his/her duties. Someone in the group advised Mr. K.V Francis not to start the meeting with an aggressive note.  The members where appreciated for their sacrifice of coming for the meeting travelling from long distance just for three hours. There was a suggestion to combine both Northern and southern zones for any seminars and national void meetings considering the time factor and usefulness of it.
Increase of Vocations: Members realized that there is stagnation in vocations to Salesian Co-operators. The means taken up to increase vocations were; highlighting the name of Salesian co-operators if they have done any charitable works and printing banners, writing articles to Salesian bulletin, publishing the news in the Diocese news letter with the permission of Bishop and becoming the part of the diocesan activities. There was a suggestion that Salesian co-operators should be incardinated as one of the diocesan groups like that of Vincent the Paul society. For the approval it was suggested that provincial would speak to the bishop, inviting the young people to witness the profession of the co-operators to get inspired by the life.
Activities: Coming to charitable activities, members suggested that they would stick to the old activities doing them with perfection and effectively rather than multiplying more works.

Rector Major's Fund: It was a request from the Rector Major and the council to raise rector Major's fund for the congregation from every province. Every Co-operator was requested to contribute the minimum of Rs. 25 per annum towards this purpose. The fund will be collected by the local coordinators and should be submitted to the Provincial Economer who will intern forward the fund to the Rector Major in Rome. But few members objected the decision due to poor people who could afford not even Rs.25 per year. Some decided that they would decide the matter after the discussion with the Provincial and his council. Some were more positive of the intention and decided to start the collection in honor of Rector Major. The suggested date for the fund collection is 31st January.
The Election of New Council: There was suggestion that once a while there should be an election of council at all provincial level to have a uniformity of working administrative jobs. Some suggested to raise fund through lottery tickets, fate and thorough donations for charitable works.
The Directory: There was a proposal to bring out the Directory of the Selesian co-operators of India. The coordinators were requested to send the list of the members with details to Mr. K.V. Francis to do the further job for the publication.
The meeting was concluded with a prayer.
