Youth, Be the agents of Social Transformation and Nation Building

Hyderabad, Nov. 8. DB Tech India, Hyderabad organized one day Self and Social awareness programme for youth of St Michael's Boys Home, Guntur on 3 November, 2010. Certainly St Michael's Boys Home youth were very fortunate to have four resource persons for a one day programme. They were Fr Bellamkonda Sudhakar, Director of Bosco Seva Kendra (BSK), Development office of the Province of Hyderabad, Fr Miriyala Bala Kishore, Provincial Delegate - Technical Commission, Fr Bathini Bala Swamy, Director of Kolping Center, Guntur and Mr Ananda Sudheer Province Resource team Coordinator, DB Tech India.
On the morning of 3rd November 2010, St Michael's Boys Home seminar hall was vibrant and filled with 125 energetic and dynamic youth gathered together with lot of expectation about the days programme. Fr Jayapaul, Rector of St Michael's Boys home welcomed all the participants and explained about the proceedings of the day and insisted the youth to make use of this programme for the benefit of their future. He introduced Fr Sudhakar to the participants and recollected how he cooperated for the development of the Don Bosco ITC through Programme Project, DB Tech India and MoRD Project and he expressed his confidence that he will give same kind of support in the future as well.

Fr Sudhakar gave brief explanation about the welfare activities being carried out by BSK in the province and main importance was given to Neighborhood Children parliament. He had quoted many success stories that are brought in by children parliaments in various villages and in some instances they moved the District collectors and local officials to solve their problems. He encouraged the youth to start similar kind of youth parliaments in their local villages and start improving ones leadership qualities to become agents of change in the modern politics since they are the future leaders and builders of the Nation at large.

Fr Bala Kishore called the attention of the participants to become responsible citizens. The strength and future of India is none other than you, the youth. He also said that Government survey says that by 2020 India is going to play a major role in the world job market. Therefore learn the trade and develop the skills and become the trade mark of your own trade.

Fr B. Balaswamy said that youth, the happy and treasure of the India's future. His interaction with the participants was very lively and motivational. In many ways he enthused the youth to express their ideas on importance of Friendship for mutual growth. He highlighted factors that builds and breaks the friendship.  

Mr Ananda Sudheer concluded the days programme by summarizing what was presented by the resource persons and advised them to join in the DB Plus programme which takes place every year in the month of August-September to learn the qualities that are required to take up the jobs.
Fr Jayapaul at about 4.30pm proposed vote of thanks for organizing such a good programme.
