GENPACT India supports Don Bosco Navajeevan through its CSR programme

Hyderabad, Apr. 12. The Vocational Training section of Don Bosco Navajeevan Rehabilitation Centre (DBNRC), Ramanthapur was upgraded on 9 April with the latest machinery in the sections of printing, welding, carpentry, tailoring and bakery with the support of GENPACT India. Genpact Limited is a multinational business process outsourcing and information technology services company, whose Indian branch has been supporting some of the rehabilitation activities of DBNRC, Ramanthapur of the Salesian Hyderbad Province, as a part of its CSR programmes.

The Inauguration Programme at which GENPACT India Vice-president Ms. Sucharita Thakur was the Chief Guest and Mr. Radha Krishna Patel and a team of 15 employees were other guests of honour, commenced with a welcome band piece by the school going children of DBNRC. Master Aadharsh was the MC for the Inaugural programme and children performed a few dances and a skit.

Fr. Bellamkonda Sudhakar, DBNRC Director, while welcoming the chief guest and other representatives from GENPACT recollected all the activities that have been done in collaboration with GENPACT for the past one and half years. He expressed his appreciation for the support that GENPACT India has extended towards the DBNRC children's rehabilitation. He thanked all the employees of GENPACT India for their generosity and continuous support.

A remarkable event of the day was the skit on ''Science'' performed by the boys from the Vocational Training Centre (VTC) who ae preparing for the school finals. There was great confidence exhuding from them as they read out the dialogues. The dances put up by the children were also much appreciated by the audience.

Ms. Sucharita Thakur, chief guest of the programme, was very appreciative of the work done by Don Bosco for the most needy and deserving children of the society. She said that she was very happy to be part of this programme and wished all the VTC children success as they utilized to the maximum all the resources that are available. She told the children that she wanted to see them study well and settle well in their life. She also recalled her experience being part of DBNRC for the past one and half years.

A surprise item was a dance performed by Terence, a Genpact employee who is also a past pupil of Don Bosco, Egmore. He said that he was very happy to see a Don Bosco home because he himself grew up with the Salesians for about 8 years. The dance performance was much appreciated by the DBNRC children.

Towards the end of the programme the vocational training children and staff proceeded to the workshop to inaugurate the newly set up machinery. Later the instructors of the particular section demonstrated the use of these machines.
