Sad Demise of Father Thomas Kochupurackal

Guwahati, May. 25. The Salesian Province of Mary Help of Christians, Guwahati, Assam, India deeply mourns the passing away of Father Thomas Kochupurackal (K.A.) SDB at 6:00 am on 25 May 2019 at Bosco Mount, Rongkhon Tura.
Father Thomas Kochupurackal was born on 05th July 1938 at Kappunthala, Palai to Mr. Augustine and Mrs. Rose. He entered the Salesian Novitiate at Sunnyside, Shillong on 22 April 1958 and made his first profession on 24th April 1959 at Sunnyside, Shillong. Father Thomas made his perpetual profession on 14th April 1965 at Shillong. He was ordained a priest of God on 20th December 1968 at Ernakulam. He worked in many communities of our province in various capacities in Assam, Mizoram and Meghalaya in particular in Garo Hills.     The Funeral Mass will be held at 3:30 pm on Sunday, 26 May 2019 at Holy Cross Parish Church, Rongkhon, followed by the Funeral rites at Bosco Mount Cemetery, Rongkhon, Tura.
On 25 May, 2019, there will be a concelebrated Requiem Mass at 5:30 pm at Bosco Mount, Rongkhon, Tura and on Sunday 26, May, 2019, there will be a concelebrated Requiem Mass at 8:00 am at St. Dominic Savio Parish Church, Garobadha.
