More than 5000 youngsters have gone through the portals of the institute attending various programmes. Don Bosco's vision of uplifting the marginalized is being realized, he added.

The Chief Guest invited the youth present to create a world of peace. He said ''the word 'peace' is not a magical word. It's a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly process and it should be an ongoing process. Every individual can make the difference, let's begin today.''

He also emphasized that our ethnicity and our diversity are not a liability but our true strength.

''The key ingredients for peace are education, health and poverty reduction,'' he added. Each one should possess humanness first and value people.
