The success of wholesome management studies at DBIM Guwahati

Guwahati, Feb. 12. Don Bosco Institute of Management (DBIM) was voted the best B-School at ''Quasofiesta, 2013'', a three day management event organized by the Guwahati Commerce college center of Management Studies.

Don Bosco Institute of Management (DBIM), constituted in 2009 by the Don Bosco Society under the Assam Don Bosco University, is a new name in the field of management studies. DBIM follows a unique delivery model of student centric management studies built around the same core principles which has made the educational services offered by the Salesians of Don Bosco a very big success and a household name.

Its focus and efforts have always been centered on the unique individual skills showcased by the students. The Institution provides an environment which promotes self belief and determination. This in keeping with its motto: Building dreams and shaping lives.

DBIM won the best B-School award beating over 8 reputed business institutes at this year's QUASOFIESTA, a three day management event organized by the GCC Center of Management Studies (GCMS) which concluded on 10th February, 2013. This success not only endorses DBIM's teaching methodologies and techniques but also speaks volumes about the individual growth each student has achieved.

DBIM students own accolades in 6 out of the 8 competitive events at QUASOFIESTA 2013. The students came out trumps in Fundas of Management (Case Study), Mad Ads (Advertisement), Share Market and the Miss QUASOFIESTA events. They came up also second best in the Thinkers (Business Plan) and the Mahayudh (House of Parliament - Debate) events. The sheer number of awards ensured that other business institutes were left far behind in the race and the decision to award DBIM with the best B-School title was an easy one for the organizers.

Prior to QUASOFIESTA 2013, DBIM had received 3 other best B-Schools awards, AIM QUEST 2010, 2011 and QUASOFIESTA 2010. At AIM QUEST 2012, DBIM came up second best. The repeated success of DBIM at business meets organized by reputed institutes in the region speaks volumes for its model of imparting quality value based learning to its students and its ability to promote an environment which allows each and every student to realize his or her full potential.
