Vedruna Bhavan -Haven for Tribal Girls

Dimapur, Apr. 9. The foundation stone of Vedruna Bhavan was blessed on April 05, 2011 at Don Bosco College Maram, in the presence of clergy, religious, local leaders and students.
Fr. T.J. Francis, the Rector and Principal of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (Science) Maram blessed the foundation stone. Fr. Benny James - Principal of Don Bosco College Maram, Fr. Mathew Paul-Assistant Director of Don Bosco Institute of Social Work Jorhat, and Fr. Roy George the administrator of Don Bosco College Maram, Fr. Lazarus, FMA and SMMI nuns, alongwith village authorities and people participated in the ceremony.
The proposed new building will cater to the tribal girls of Don Bosco College, Maram and Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School (Science), Maram. Maram is synonymous with higher education today. This has been achieved through the relentless support of the locals for progressive development. Both the educational institutions have contributed significantly to the development and progress of the region through constructive and promising educational facilities.
