International Youth Fellowship from South Korea stages Christmas Cantata at Salesian College, Dimapur

By Anthony Christudoss
Dimapur, Dec. 5.    Salesian College of Higher Education provided an auditorium for IYF to perform Christmas Cantata on 2nd Dec. 2016 at 5 pm. The team was led by Rev. Hyeonyong Choi, Director, IYF Nagaland. Welcoming the IYF youth and the audience, SCHE Principal Father Dr. Policarp Xalxo said that the institution is glad to have them as IYF staged their first show at SCHE. He also wished that all may prepare for the coming of our Lord and receive Him worthily into our hearts at Christmas Day.
Before the show began, SCHE Rector Father Tom Karthik led the invocation imploring God's grace upon the gathering. IYF youth performed one act play based on a naughty girl, ''Anna'' and dances. At the end, Rev. Choi gave the Christmas message. He gave testimony from his own family story, wherein his daughter was miraculously born healthy and normal though doctor had advised them to abort the baby for fear of physical defect in the child. He also exhorted all to look at God and not at oneself for Christ has redeemed us and bought us with his blood.
The Christmas concert was attended by the staff and students of SCHE, heads of various institutions, students from neighbouring schools and colleges, and well-wishers. IYF youth made an impact on all those present for the occasion with their excellent performance.
