Scout Masters' Training Programme held at Salesian College

Dimapur, Oct. 31.       A weeklong Scout Master's Basic Course was held from 25-31 October, at SCHE Campus. The camp was attended by 82 SCHE students. The camp was headed by State Training Commissioner Ruokuongulie Albert Solo, assisted by Leader Trainer Father PX Francis, Pre Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) Father Anto Tharankan, District Organising Comissioner of Dimapur D.M. Agay Joseph, former State Organizing Commissioner of Nagaland Vilasielie Michael Pienyu and three Advanced Scout Masters: Victor pameih, Jacob Pouramdeu and Limnoba Menti.
     The camp commenced with a words of welcome by Dr. Father Policarp Xalxo, Principal of SCHE. He urged the trainees to be ready for any eventualities by stressing on the importance of a Scout motto, ''Be Prepared.''

    Mr. IIyas KPA, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police Dimapur Zone-II visited the Scout Master's Training camp site at Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE). He congratulated the trainers and the campers and stressed on the importance of Scouting. He said that a good mentor can impact positively on the lives of the students. Therefore, Scout Masters can have huge influence and impart upright values to the students. He exhorted the trainees to acquire discipline in life and gain confidence by learning the basic necessities of life. He also encouraged the participants to give the best to the society for in this way one does best to oneself. He asserted, ''You cannot teach what you are not.'' He wished all the Scouts to take the training to heart and become good Scouts.
