Nagaland Assembly Speaker graces Silver Jubilee celebrations of DBS, Zubza By Fr. Tarcisius T & Fr. Paul PDimapur, Oct. 7. Shri. Kiyaneilie Peseyie, Hon'ble Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, graced the silver jubilee celebrations of Don Bosco School, Zubza, on 4 October.
Speaking to the crowd which was in excess of 2000, gathered at the cultural extravaganza, the Chief Guest, congratulated, the Staff and the members of Administration of the institution for the quality education imparted to the students in the region. He acknowledged the great contribution of the institution to the transformation of the society. He also exhorted the student community to be disciplined and to work smart. The Speaker, urged the staff and the students to build deeper and better relationships so as to achieve the educational aims. The Chief Guest also inaugurated the Jubilee Memorial Stone.
Shri. Kiyaneilie Mr. Mhomo Tungoe E.A.C. H.Q. Tuensang District, himself an alumnus of DBS Zubza was the guest of honour. Speaking on the occasion, he said that he was immensely grateful to the Institution for the quality education he received.
Earlier in the morning, presiding over the Thanksgiving Eucharist, Fr. James Poonthuruthil, Provincial, invited everyone to thank God for the numerous blessings showered upon the people and the institution. He especially recalled to the mind of everyone, the pioneers of the institution.
Present for the occasion were the past Rectors and Headmasters and Headmistresses, past and present pupils, parents, guardians, invitees, friends and well-wishers. Some of the past Headmasters, headmistresses and Rectors were, Mr. T.J. Sunny from Kerala, Mr. Clifford Bren, Fr. Mathew C. Paul SDB, Fr. C.T. Varghese SDB, Sr. Tessy FMA, Sr. Margaret Barla FMA , and Fr. Paul Panii SDB.
