Chennai, Nov. 10. Having attracted large crowds in Puducherry, the relic continued its journey and reached Madurantakam at 7.15 a.m. on 10th November. It was a moving sight to see children, parents, parishioners and well-wishers vying with each other to get a glimpse of the saint's relic.
Rev. Fr. A.T.James, the parish priest, along with other Salesians received the casket and led the procession as the students waved flags and balloons to welcome Son Bosco. After welcoming the casket, there was a short cultural programme by the students during which the local dignitaries paid homage to the relic. As the crowd was increasing, the people began to pay homage to the casket, during the Eucharistic Celebration. After Holy Mass, the relic was taken out from the church and sent on its way to Pavunjur at 10.15a.m.

The Holy Family Church campus in Pavunjur was agog as the casket was received by the Salesian community and taken in procession, accompanied by the school children marching in array, towards the place of veneration at around 11.00 a.m. The priests from the neighbouring parishes joined in the solemn Eucharistic celebration. Since there was a huge gathering of people from near and far, the public veneration began as school children and other people came around the relic to pay homage and receive the blessing of the saint. With great difficulty, the relic was moved out of the crowd to be taken to Thirukazhukundram.
