Chennai, Nov. 7. On November 06, 2011 the Relic of Don Bosco was received with great honour at the Sacred Heart Parish, Polur. Continual prayer sessions and veneration of the Relic demonstrated the love of the people for Don Bosco.
The parish youth group received the casket 4 km before it reached Polur and accompanied it in solemn procession. There was a preparatory programme to help the people to know about the saint and the purpose of this pilgrimage.  Fr. Stephen, parish priest of Chetpet, celebrated the Eucharist and spoke about the saint's dedication to his mission.

After the Eucharist the parish youth led the people in prayer for over two hours with singing and short reflections on the different virtues of Don Bosco. People kept vigil with the relic throughout the night. At 4.30 a.m. on 7th November, Fr. Joy Kurian SDB, Parish Priest of Sacred Heart church, Polur, presided over the Eucharist as a thanksgiving for the graces received through Don Bosco.
Around 9.15 a.m. Fr. Sagayaraj SDB celebrated the Eucharist for the Don Bosco School Students while the faithful continued to pay homage to Don Bosco. Around 10.30 a.m. the relic was taken to Don Bosco ITI, Polur.
