Chennai, Nov. 6. It was a busy day at  Don Bosco, Katpadi on November 05, 2011. A memorial statue of Don Bosco was installed as a remembrance of the Relic's visit.
The relic was first taken to Don Bosco Matriculation School and then to Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School where a statue of the saint erected to commemorate the arrival of the Relic. It was blessed by Fr. Jeyapalan, the Salesian Provincial of Chennai.
The relic was kept on the school stage for veneration. Hundeds of parents from the outlying villages came, unmindful of the incessant rain, to pay their homage to the saint of the young. because of the rain, the Mass was celebrated in the auditorium while the public continued to pay homage to the relic which was kept on the elevated stage in the ground. The Mass was presided over by Bishop Soundarajan of Vellore. During the Mass the co-operators made their promise.

From 9.00 p.m. the relic was kept in the Chapel for full night vigil. Different groups took turns to keep vigil with Don Bosco. At 10.00 p.m., the community of Don Bosco sat around Don Bosco in prayer and praise. From then on, the public homage of the people continued till midnight, while the boys prayed the rosary and sang hymns to Don Bosco.
