Skill Blend - Live Action 2011

Chennai, Aug. 6. Extravaganza of fun and frolic are all part of a student's life in his school days. Rendez-Vous 2011 was a spectacular event at Don Bosco, Egmore for three days, triggering the sparkles of talents as the students performed their best. The function was ceremoniously inaugurated on 4th August 2011 by Cine fame Sibiraj along the DB community and the student leaders. Host performance added colour as the commencement of the 3 day cultural show.
The students showcased many of their hidden potentialities bringing out their inner selves amidst applause and cheer. The on stage events took place in the AV hall and DB hall as the sub-juniors, juniors and seniors were judged on their knowledge, creativity skills, hands at drawing and singing. The off stage events which included Sudoku, face painting, web designing, photography and movie making made the floor open for the students to exhibit their creative skills. Judges were from the teaching faculty who were given a chance to encourage their students to come out with various ideas.
The post lunch session of the second day culturals was an immense pleasure as the ambience of the auditorium was showered with the Song of Music rendered by St. Louis Orchestra of the Blind. The visually challenged entertained the entire school with their scintillating music which echoed melodiously bringing a thunderous applause for the shrilling voices. Not only pertaining to education, the school headed by a determined and creative Management has driven its Teaching faculty, Parents and the PTA Executive Members to go to the extent of pledging their eyes to reach out to people who are in the dark to see a new and wonderful world which is God's unique gift.
The grand finale on the 6th of August witnessed the spotlight and excelling dance numbers as the students rocked the stage with their scintillating performance. Cine fame Jeyam Ravi was the guest of honour for the valedictory function. He delivered a simple message to the students to cherish their school days and to value school friends to the end. He gave away the trophies to the deserving students. The whole auditorium was filled with shouts of clap and cheer as the house points were announced. The Yellow house emerged as the Overall Champions of Rendez-Vous 2011. Master Stefan Eric Antony of class 12 was awarded 'Star of DB Culturals'. The programme came to a close with the school anthem making the day a memorable one.
Rendez-Vous 2011 has come to an end, but the ideas and creativity of the students have still a long way to go to rock the stage in 2012.
