St. Anthony's Shillong Bags the Inter-district and Inter-school Badminton Championship 2012

Shillong, Aug. 1. St. Anthony's shuttlers emerged victorius in the recently concluded 10th inter-school and the 2nd inter-district badminton championships 2012, organized by the Meghalaya Badminton Association. It was held at U Tirot Singh indoor stadium from 24th - 28th July.  Four teams from St. Anthony's, both under 12 and under 15 categories, competed with thirteen other schools from shillong and around.
On Saturday 28th, July the championship drew to a close and the champs, both under 12 and 15 categories, came out loaded with trophies and commendations.

The coaches and players came in for special praise. The daily practice and intensive training by Mr. Ailadlang Rynjah at the newly constructed badminton court in the school have infact borne much fruit. The power packed and enthralling performance of the Anthonians drew admiration from one and all.  The presence of the family members at the venue too boosted the spirit and dynamism of the players.

Many students avail the facilities offered at the school and train hard to bring laurals to themselves and to the school. The school places on record its appreciation for the hard work put in by everyone and for the moral support extended by the parents and guardians.
