Shillong, May. 4. .  Shillong - Sacred Heart Theological College, Mawlai organized a short-term course on ''Family Pastoral Ministry in the North-east Context'' from 2nd to 3rd May. The course was attended by 28 sisters hailing from different congregations.
The program was inaugurated on 2nd May morning by His Grace Archbishop Dominic Jala with his keynote address outlining the importance of family pastoral care. There were 5 sessions dealing with topics related to family from a theological and pastoral perspective. The resource persons were all professors of the College.

At the close of the program on 3rd May afternoon,Fr. Paul Olphindro Lyngkot, Vice provincial of INS, gave away the certificates of participation to the participants. The participants expressed their happiness at having attended the program which they said would certainly enrich their involvement in 'family ministry'.

The course was organized by Sacred Heart Theological College as a follow-up of the decision it took last year to organize such short-term programmes, once in every semester, in order to extend its service to the Church at large.
