Shillong, May. 5. This year 2013, the usual Missionary Course for the English speaking provinces of Asia and Oceania will be held for the first time in India. The department of Missiology, Pisana which is responsible for the organization of such courses, has chosen Sacred Heart Theological College, Shillong as the venue for this course.
Over 30 confreres from India, South East Asia and Oceania are expected to participate in this course. A few members of the Salesian Family may also participate in it. SHTC, Shillong with its unique slant on Missiology is deemed to be the best place for such a programme. North-east India is still a vibrant missionary region. This is the region where illustrious sons of Don Bosco like Mgr. Louis Mathias, Mgr. Stephen Ferrando (SOG), Mgr. Orestes Marengo (SOG), Fr. Constantine Vendrame (SOG), Fr. Leo Piasecki, Fr. Ravalico, Fr. Pianazzi, Bro. Mantarro, Bro. Cid, Bro. Frasson among others, spent their most fruitful lives as frontline missionaries.

The Missionary Course is from 3 August to 4 September 2013. For Details and Registration write to the secretary of the Missions Department: Fr. Jose Anikuzhikattil - /
