Shillong, May. 2. Salesian Vocation Camp for the Post- Matric and XII boys was held at Savio Juniorate from 9th to 30th April, 2013. There were eighteen boys from different parts of Meghalaya and one each from Jharkhand and Orissa. The camp was conducted under the supervision of the Vice provincial Fr. Paul Olphindro Lyngkot and three brothers, Anthony Lakra, Shemphang Siangshai and Dibacor Sangma.
One full week of the camp was allotted to learning english and prayer. The two full weeks were days of instructions on different topics by a Salesian brother and priest of the province. The boys were very enthusiastic and optimistic about the idea of joining the Salesian Congregation. They participated well in all the programs and showed interest in every activity that was conducted for them.

The ambiance at Savio Juniorate was excellent and the boys were able to learn many things from the aspirants and the Salesian staff over there. It had a positive impact on the campers.

The feedback and the response from the candidates were very encouraging and positive. On the second last day of the camp an exposure trip was organized for them to the Salesian Museum  DBCIC at Mawlai. On the same day in the evening a recollection was conducted during which the Sacrament of Reconciliation was administered.

The camp ended on 30th April with a Holy Mass. We owe our gratitude to all the Salesians of Silchar Province who came to enrich our boys. Special Thanks to the community of Savio Juniorate for their hospitality, love, concern and availability.
