Province of Silchar Celebrates its new Priests

Shillong, Feb. 10. On 10th February 2013 the Salesian Province of Silchar felicitated its new priests at Holy Family Church, Khliehriat (Meghalaya). It was an occasion for the entire province to thank God for the gift of its new priests: Fr. Paul Dayo Passah, Fr. Felix Demetrick Dkhar, Fr. Lurshai Anthony Wahlang, Fr. Linus Kharbani, Fr. Lucas Murmu, Fr. Juel Ekka, Fr. James Doungel and Deacon Gabriel Jalong to be ordained on 17th March 2013.  
The solemn Eucharistic Celebration, the short felicitation programme and the fellowship meal were the highlights of the day. Fr. Paul Dayo Passah presided over the Holy Eucharist, the other new priests and other confreres concelebrated. Deacon Gabriel Jalong preached the homily.

During his felicitation talk Fr. Provincial appreciated the new priests for their daring and noble choice and exhorted them to make their lives total gift to God and people by living their priestly life fully.

Fr. Marius Thongni together with the MSMHC sisters, Salesian Cooperators and the faithful of the parish congratulated the newly ordained  and expressed much joy in hosting the celebration of the day.

Fr. Paul Olfindro Lyngkot, Vice Provincial and the Parish Community of Khliehriat were behind the meaningful and solemn organization of the function.
