Shillong, Jan. 31. The salesian family of Shillong honoured St. john Bosco in a fitting manner by a well organized spiritual celebration at Don Bosco Technical School, Shillong on 31 January 2013.  Members from the Salesian Family participated in the celebration along with other religious and diocesan members of Shillong. The main thrust of the gathering was the explanation of the Strenna 2013. Fr. Philip Barjo SDB, the Novice Master, explained the nuances of the strenna with the help of audio visual programmes.

At about 10 a.m. the Salesian Family gathered at Don Bosco Technical School. The novices of Sunnyside, Shillong, enthralled the audience by a melodious choir piece. A prayer service followed the presentation of the Strenna.  Soon after the prayer service, Fr. L.B. Anthony, Rector of Don Bosco Technical School, released a new book by the Salesian Psychologists' association on Psycho-Sexual Maturity, for the Shillong region. The book is being released simultaneously in different regions on this day.

The Programme ended with a fmaily agape.
