Panjim, Dec. 17. The Salesian Panjim Province was blessed with another pair of holy hands ordained by Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao at the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, Panjim, Goa, on 17th Dec 2013. Fr. Jonathan Rebeiro, SDB was ordained at a solemn ceremony at 4 pm this evening in the presence of his family and the Salesian family members.
Fr. Rebeiro is orginally from the pious island of St Estevam, but his family had moved residence to the outskirts of Panjim in the village of Caranzalem. He is an alumni of Don Bosco Panjim, the pioneer salesian presence of the Panjim Province.

Inspired ten years ago with the inspirational quote from Prophet Micah, \''To Act Justly, to Love Tenderly and to Walk Humbly with your God\'', Fr Jonathan said he has never lost focus on its message.  This is what every salesian and lay person is expected to do, and much more a priest of God, he added.

In his sermon, the Archbishop recalled the letter of Bl. John Paul II, where he invited the priests to be Holy, Shepherds and humble servants. \''It is holiness to which we are called as we render our service as shepherds in humility\'', he affirmed.

A small felicitation was held along with the aspirants after the Eucharist. Dn Joel D'Souza will be the second priest to be ordained in this seaseon for the Province of Panjim on 28th December 2013, at Pune.
