Panjim, Sep. 10. Humility is the greatest virtue a teacher can have, if we don't have humility we are not fit to be teachers, said Fr. Leandro Garcia's the rector of don Bosco academy Hubli   in his homily on Teachers Day.
Addressing the students, especially the teachers he said that ''Teachers can form or deform the students, through humility alone a teacher can win over the heart of the student.'' In order to achieve humility we need the grace from God, He alone can touch and transform our lives he added.

As a 'Gurudakshina' to the teachers the students of STD 10th dawn the role of teachers and took charge of running the school. To felicitate the teachers and thank them for their guidance and support, the students organized half a day cultural programme for the teachers.

The highlight of the programme was the interreligious prayer service. Which was followed by spirit filled skit, dance and song by the students of D.B tech, states school and tangudama.

To make the day more enjoyable for the teachers the students organized creative party games. ''It was nice to see the teachers enjoy the game and equally enjoy doing the forfeits   said, Jason the student of STD 10th. I always wanted to see my teacher dancing and this was a good opportunity.'' Said shwetha the student of class 8th. The felicitation programme ended with the students gifting teacher's memento mark the occasion.

The daylong celebration ended with the students challenging the teachers the game of volley ball and throw ball which the teachers dominated.
